EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(A735 Dunlop Road, Stewarton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
On 26th November 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow repairs to masonry walls supporting bridge.
Temporary Road Closure – A735 Dunlop Road, Stewarton - 20m section at single track section of road at Railway bridge.
The Order commences on 14 December 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 14 December 2024 at 22:00 until 20 December 2024 at 06:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 22:00 and 06:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
An alternative route will be signed via Standalane - B778 - A736 - B706 - Main Street Dunlop and vice versa.
Dispensation for vehicles over 15.9 feet will be in place north of the closure and these vehicles will be diverted to the closure, where client will then remove equipment to let them pass.
