What is happening?

(Footpath 4 Cressing)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As amended), has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 21 May 2025.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 4, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from the junction with B1018 Braintree Road, southeast for approximately 450 metres.
Alternative route via: Braintree Road, Footpath 39 Cressing and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 21 May 2024 and is required for the safety of the public while the installation of the link road and drainage is undertaken.

(30mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under sections 84(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order:
To Implement: a '30mph Speed Limit (Currently a 40mph Speed Limit)'
Road: Church Street, Bocking
Description: From its junction with the A131 Broad Road and the A131 High Garrett, west for approximately 180 metres to where it meets the existing 30mph Speed Limit.
"The Essex County Council (Church Street, Bocking) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2002" is hereby revoked in its entirety.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 25 June 2025

(Station Approach, Braintree)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary
Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Station Approach in the District of Braintree from its junction with South Street to its other junction with South Street, a distance of approximately 420m.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restrictions will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 14th November 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

The Order came into effect on 14th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
