Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Factory Lane West, Halstead)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Factory Lane West, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 50m south east of its junction with Mill Bridge for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th December 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310771400 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Factory Lane West, Kings Road, Trinity Street, Bridge Street, High Street, Head Street, Colchester Road, Mallows Field, Parsonage Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Cross End, Pebmarsh)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cross End, Pebmarsh in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 445m northeast of its junction with Hill House Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th November 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164824312 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while supply pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via The Street, Hill House Road, Garlands Lane, Cricks Road, Countess Cross, Overhall Hill, Lawshall's Hill, Colne Park Road, Colchester Road, Bures Road, Colne Road, Hornes Green Road, Peyton Hall Road, Pebmarsh Road and vice versa. (with access only into The Street, Cross End, Pebmarsh Road). The Order came into effect on 15th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ronald Road, Halstead)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)

Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Ronald Road, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with White Horse Avenue to its junction with Tidings Hill a distance of approximately 410m.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Braintree Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/clearway is scheduled to commence on 2nd December 2024 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373934 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/clearway is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway surfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via White Horse Avenue, Tidings Hill and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 21st November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
