St Owens Cross, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Testing & Tree Cutting Works

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U71401, Pencoyd, St Owens Cross, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71401, Pencoyd, St Owens Cross, Junction of Pencoyd and Lenastone Lane. Grid Ref: 351419/ 227327.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Marsh Lane (C1054) onto the A49 onto the B4348 onto the C1262 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to pole testing and tree cutting works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 3rd of December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
