(Grove Road, Retford) (30 M.p.h. Speed Limit) (Restricted Road) Order 2024 (1284)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council Has Made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Retford in the District of Bassetlaw in the County of Nottinghamshire.
GROVE ROAD, RETFORD
1. The length of road specified in Schedule 1 of this Order shall be a Restricted Road (30mph) for the purposes of Section 81 of the Act. - From a point 30 metres west of the centre line of the railway crossing in a westerly direction for 68 metres
2. The length of road specified in Schedule 2 of this Order shall have a speed limit of 30mph - From a point 30 metres west of the centre line of the railway crossing in an easterly direction for 85 metres
3. Any previous speed limit order made under the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 or any enactment replaced by that Act in so far as it related to the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby revoked.

This Speed Limit Order Will Come Into Force On 29th November 2024.
The reduction in speed limit is required to correct an anomaly with the existing speed limit and will help to improve road safety for all road users.
