THE ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL (A814 ALDER GATE HELENSBURGH) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT AND 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

On Monday 11 November 2024, Argyll and Bute Council made the above named Order in terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which comes into operation on Monday 30 December 2024, introduces a 30mph speed limit and 40mph speed limit on A814, Helensburgh.

30MPH SPEED LIMIT Length of Road in Argyll and Bute

That length of the Dumbarton-Arrochar Road (Route A814), within the town of Helensburgh, from a point 305 metres south easterly of the extended east kerb line of the entrance road to Hermitage Academy in a south easterly direction to a point 5 metres west of the extended west kerb line of the entrance road to the property known as lona Stable for a distance of 240 metres or thereby.

40MPH SPEED LIMIT Length of Road in Argyll and Bute

That length of the Dumbarton-Arrochar Road (Route A814), within the town of Helensburgh, from a point 5 metres west of the extended west kerb line of the entrance road to the property known as Iona Stable in a south easterly direction for a distance of 420 metres or thereby.

A copy of the Order and plan relative thereto can be inspected by logging on to the Council's website at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/trafficorders or viewed during normal office hours at:-

(i) Argyll and Bute Council Offices, The Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre,

38 East Clyde Street, Helensburgh; Any person, who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the 27 December 2024, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
