Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Jack Straws Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 30 October 2024

Coming into force: 27 November 2024

This Order is being introduced because of defect rectification relating to the water mains which are anticipated to be completed 10 December 2024. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Jack Straws Lane between the junction of Dorris Field Road and outside No. 20. This is a 24-hour road closure. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of Jack Straws Lane.

The alternative route for traffic is via Jack Starw’s Lane, B4495, B4150 or A420, B4495. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
