Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.7) 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing, pre-patching/patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

1. that length of D151 Church Lane, Brook which extends from its junction with Bannacle Hill Road to its junction with Brook Road. Alternative Route – C31 Brook Road and D152 Bannacle Hill Road;
2. that length of D152 Bannacle Hill Road, Godalming which extends from its junction with Brook Road to its junction with Church Lane. Alternative Route – D151 Church Lane and C31 Brook Road;
3. the entire length of D185 Hillhouse Lane, Rudgwick. Alternative Route – A281 Guildford Road/Horsham Road, D183 Wildwood Lane and D184 Knowle Lane;
4. the entire length of D191 Amlets Lane, Cranleigh. Alternative Route – D192 Barhatch Lane, B2127 Ewhurst Road, B2128 High Street and D182 Horseshoe Lane;
5. that length of B2130 Dunsfold Road, Cranleigh which extends from its junction with Horsham Road to its junction with Barrihurst Lane. Alternative Route – A281 Horsham Road, A281 Rooks Hill, A281 Birtley Road, A281 Horsham Road, A248 Broadford Road (or up to roundabout back down on A281 Horsham Roadd and turn right into Broadford Road), A3100 Old Portsmouth Road, A3100 Meadrow, A3100 Bridge Road, A3100 Flambard Way, B2130 Brighton Road, B2130 Hascombe Road, B2130 The Street, B2130 Godalming Road and B2130 Dunsfold Road;

7. the entire length of C47 The Green, Cranleigh. Alternative Route – C48 Horsham Road, C48 Abrams Lane, C49 Walliswood Green Road, C49 Horsham Road, B2127 Ockley Road and B2127 The Street.
Various Roads in Shackleford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate sign installation works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed within 13 days, between 8am and 5pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route – D89 Suffield Lane, D89 Fulbrook Lane, B3001 Farnham Road, B3001 Milford Road, B3001 Shackleford Road and D92 Attleford Lane;
2. that length of C23 Lombard Street and C23 The Street, Shackleford which extends from its junction with The Street to its junction with Pepper Harrow Lane. Alternative Route – D92 Attleford Lane, B3001 Shackleford Road and D95 Pepper Harrow Lane;
3. that length of D93 Puttenham Lane, Shackleford which extends from its junction with The Street to its junction with the access road leading to the property known as “Lone Barn”. Alternative Route – D93 Hook Lane, B3000 Hook Lane, C20 The Street, C24 Suffield Lane, C23 Cuttmill Road, C23 Lombard Street and D93 The Street;
4. that length of C23 Grenville Road, Shackleford which extends from its junction with Pepper Harrow Lane to its junction with Shackleford Road. Alternative Route – D95 Pepper Harrow Lane and B3001 Shackleford Road.
D75 Lakeside Road, Ash Vale Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D75 Lakeside Road, Ash Vale that extends from the eastern side of its roundabout junction with D75 Old Farm Place, to its junction with B3411 Vale Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Dyer and Butler to carry out inspections and/or repairs and/or maintenance to the “Government Road Railway Bridge”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 4pm, within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Lakeside Road, Vale Road, Lysons Avenue, Lynchford Road – St Albans Roundabout, Queens Avenue, Redvers Buller Road, Alanbrooke Road, Camp Farm Road, Government Road and Lakeside Road.
D3292 Commercial Road, Staines upon Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3292 Commercial Road, Staines upon Thames that extends from its junction with B376 Laleham Road, for a distance of 50m. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Commercial Road (D3292) Staines Upon Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out implementation of an Experimental Traffic Order to prohibit entry onto Commercial Road from Laleham Road and/or maintenance and/ or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm, within 2 weeks of the 9 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Laleham Road, Worple Road and Commercial Road.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Notice – Extension to “The Surrey County Council
C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024”
“The Surrey County Council C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” which was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or were proposed to be executed on, or near, the above mentioned road and came in to operation on 04 May 2024, was due to expire on 21 December 2024 and which prohibits all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham that extends from its junction with C23 Littleworth Road, to a point 20m north-east of the “Cutt Mill Culvert” has been extended by Surrey County Council until 26 October 2025.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to safely erect a dam and/or carry culvert inspections and/or repairs and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the additional 10 month period of operation of the Temporary Order, which commenced on 04 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to property will be affected. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times to the point of closure via the footway to Suffield Lane, Seale Lane, Puttenham Road, Elstead Road and Littleworth Road. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times to the point of closure via the alternative route for vehicular traffic – From the southern end of closure – C23 Littleworth Road, C21 Elstead Road, C119 The Street, A31 Hogs Back, B3000 Puttenham Hill, C20 The Street and C24 Suffield Lane. From the northern end of closure – C24 Suffield Lane, C20 The Street, B3000 Puttenham Hill, A31 Hogs Back, C21 Elstead Road and C23 Littleworth Road. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Fernhill (D6849) Oxshott Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Fernhill (D6849) Oxshott; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Fernhill (D6849) Oxshott Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Almners Road (D3005) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Almners Road (D3005) Chertsey; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Almners Road (D3005) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024” in its entirety; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Almners Road (D3005) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Lyne Lane; (B386) Longcross Road, (B386) Holloway Hill, and Hardwick Lane, or this route in reverse. The Order is required to allow new electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 06 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents within the closure area will be maintained when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic including emergency service vehicles will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Brook Road (C31) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Road (C31) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D152) Bannacle Hill Road to its junction with (D152) Sebastopol Lane. Alternative Route: Brook Road, (A286) Haslemere Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, (A283) Petworth Road, and Brook Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming as extends from its junction with (C33) Plaistow Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Orchard” Chiddingfold Road. Alternative Route: Chiddingfold Road, High Street Green, Pickhurst Road, Shillinglee Park Road, Shillinglee Road, Dunsfold Road, and Plaistow Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new customer connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
The Common and Guildford Road (B2128), Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) The Common (B2128) as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Homefield” to its junction with (B2128) Guildford Road; and (b) Guildford Road (B2128) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (B2128) The Common to its junction with (X68337) Manfield Park. Alternative Route: (B2128) Guildford Road, (B2128) Stroud Common, (B2128) Church Hill, (B2128) The Green, (B2128) Guildford Road, (B2128) Cranleigh Road, (B2128) The Street, (B2128) Wonersh Common, (A248) Kings Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) High Street, (A281) Birtley Road, (A281) Rooks Hill, (A281) Horsham Road, (B2130) Elmbridge Road, and (B2128) The Common, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer replacement cover works, for or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 7pm and 11pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians.
Weir Road (B387) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Weir Road (B387) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (B375) Bridge Road to its junction with (D3044) Abbey Road. Alternative Route: Abbey Road and (B375) Bridge Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate a safe working zone, for traffic signal refurbish works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Ruxbury Road (D3003) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ruxbury Road (D3003) Chertsey which extends from its junction with St Anns Hill Road (D3003) to the northeastern property boundary line of “The Redwoods”.
Alternative Route – Ruxbury Road (D3003), Almners Road (D3005), Hardwick Lane (C127), Holloway Hill (B386), Guildford Road (A320), Bell Bridge Road (A320), Pyrcroft Road (A320) and Ruxbury Road (D3003) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 December 2024. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.
