What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

(C2049 Stratford Road, Pebworth) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order:

To close that part of C2049 Stratford Road from its junction with C2114 Chapel Road to its junction with C2274 Mickleton Road.

Reason:

Water connection installation by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions:

To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route:

C2049 Stratford Road (part), C2114 Chapel Road, C2114 Front Street, C2114 Pebworth Road, C2006 Buckle Street, C2006 Station Road, C2049 Stratford Road (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration:

18 Months.

Anticipated duration:

3 days.

Commencing:

18 December 2024.

(C2007 Pershore Road, Little Comberton)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order:

To close that part of C2007 Pershore Road from its junction with C2124 Great Comberton to Little Comberton to its junction with C2124 Wick Road.

Reason:

Drainage and flood alleviation works by WCC.

Exemptions:

To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

No access for emergency services diversion route must be taken.

Alternative route:

C2124 Wick Road, B4084 Evesham Road, C2007 Pensham Hill, C2007 Main Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration:

18 Months.

Anticipated duration:

5 days.

Commencing:

16 December 2024.

(C2011 Village Street, Harvington) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made:

To close that part of C2011 Village Street from its junction with B4088 Evesham Road to its junction with Myatts Field (NSG Ref. 45400929).

Reason:

Remedial water works by Amey Plc.

Exemptions:

To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route:

B4088 Evesham Road, C2295 Harvington Lane, C2295 Abbots Salford Road, C2011 Crest Hill, C2011 Station Road, C2011 Village Street (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration:

18 Months.

Anticipated duration:

5 days (8.30–14.30).

Commencing:

25 November 2024.

(C2049 Stratford Road, Honeybourne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order:

To close that part of C2049 Stratford Road from its junction with C2274 Mickleton Road from a distance of 202 metres in a north easterly direction to its junction with C2274 Mickleton Road for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.

Reason:

Bridge inspection works by Network Rail.

Exemptions:

To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route:

C2049 Stratford Road (part), C2006 Station Road, C2006 Buckle Street, C2114 Pebworth Road, C2114 Front Street, C2114 Chapel Road, C2049 Stratford Road (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration:

18 Months.

Anticipated duration:

1 night (21:00–05:00).

Commencing:

15 December 2024.

(District of Wychavon – Evesham area) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2004 (Variation) Order 2024 [Prohibition of Waiting on Friars Mead Lane, Evesham]

On 7 November 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following side and length of road in Evesham:

  • Friars Mead Lane – Evesham – (West Side)

    From its junction with Pershore Road for a distance of 38 meters in a northerly direction.

  • Friars Mead Lane – Evesham – (East Side)

    From its junction with Pershore Road for a distance of 9 meters in a northerly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 28 November 2024.

The validity of the Council’s powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
