Upper Chorlton Road, Whalley Range Ward - Temporary Closure Of Cycle Lane For A Gas Alteration
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000141016971: The City of Manchester (Upper Chorlton Road, Whalley Range Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Upper Chorlton Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a gas alteration. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 25th November 2024 to the 29th November 2024. The order shall come into operation on 25th November 2024and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC141019470: The City of Manchester (Kingsway, Didsbury East Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on southbound access from Kingsway to properties 933 to 953. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 26th November 2024 to the 28th November 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 26th November 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
