Ashland Street - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(ASHLAND STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Ashland Street closed in both directions at its junction with Merridale Street West, between properties 67 and 71 Merridale Street West. Vehicular Diversion Route: Merridale Street West, Owen Road, Lime Street and vice versa.
· Ashland Street closed in both directions at its junction with Merridale Street West, between properties 60 and 62 Merridale Street West. Access/egress to frontages to be maintained at all times.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 25 November 2024 unit 2 December 2024.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
