What is happening?
Temporary Closure of Various Lanes, Wareham
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Lanes, Wareham as listed: [i] Cow Lane, Wareham from junction with North Street to outside 10 Cow Lane, Wareham; [ii] Mill Lane, Wareham from junction with B3070 West Street to junction with Cow Lane. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2nd December 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11th December 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed sections.

JAN BRITTON, Executive Lead for Place - Dorset Council, Dorchester DT1 1XJ. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fi ne not exceeding £1000.
Temporary Closure of Kennels Lane, Middlemarsh
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Kennels Lane, Middlemarsh from junction with Tiley to junction with Tiley Knap a distance of approximately 110 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25th November 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13th December 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out urgent bridge repairs.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Shillingstone Lane, Okeford Fitzpaine
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Shillingstone Lane, Okeford Fitzpaine from outside Wessex Park Homes to outside N D Young Transport Ltd (in both directions), a distance of approximately 240 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25th November 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13th December 2024.
This Order will provide SGN with safe access to replace a gas main.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using Shillingstone Lane, Poplar Hill, A357, Castle Lane and vice versa.

Temporary Closure of Castle Lane, Okeford Fitzpaine
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Castle Lane, Okeford Fitzpaine between Castle Avenue and Comerwicke (in both directions), a distance of approximately 50 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 6th December 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th December 2024.
This Order will provide SGN with safe access to undertake gas mains replacement works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed section.
