THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (TOWCESTER TO WEEDON BEC, WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A5 Trunk Road, between Towcester and Weedon Bec, in the County of West Northamptonshire, to replace a telecommunications mast.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A5 from its roundabout junction with the A43 Towcester Bypass, at Towcester, to its roundabout junction with the A45 at Weedon Bec.
The work will be carried out over one night between 22:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Friday 13 December 2024. The Order will come into force on 06 December 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
Diversion routes via the A45 and the M1 and vice versa will be signed.
