Arbroath Brechin Carnoustie and Forfar - Temporary Traffic Restriction
What is happening?
TRAFFIC ORDER
On 18/11/2024 the Council made The Angus Council (Christmas Events at Arbroath Brechin Carnoustie and Forfar)(Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024 under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 for the purposes of minimising danger to the public attending or participating in Christmas events.
The effect of the Order will be to (i) prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicular traffic in Kirk Square, Arbroath and in High Street, Arbroath between Kirk Square and Commerce Street; prohibit the waiting of vehicles, except taxis, on Kirk Square, Arbroath between Hill Place and West Abbey Street; suspend the one way traffic restriction on Hill Place (slip road), Arbroath and suspend the use of the taxi stance in Kirk Square, Arbroath, all on 24 November 2023 between 11.00am and 9.00pm. (ii) prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicular traffic in Dalhousie Street Brechin between Southesk road and At Ninians ‘s Square on Sunday 24 November (iii) prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicular traffic in Dundee Street Carnoustie prohibit the waiting of vehicles in Dundee Street between West Path and High Street on Sunday 24 November 2023. (iv) prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on Castle Street, Forfar between Canmore Street and The Cross; suspend the one way traffic restriction in sections of Manor Street and Queen Street, Forfar and suspend he taxi stances in Castle Street, Forfar, all on 1 December between 7.00am and 8.00pm.
