Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS) (DISTRICT OF DOVER)
(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and of all other enabling powers, having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from entry (except Local Buses and Cycles as shown on the plans) on the following length of roads in Whitfield, Dover:-

DOVER ROAD – Banned right and left hand turn at its junction into Farmstead Way except Local Buses. FARMSTEAD WAY – For its entire length. RED KITE ROAD – From a point 229 metres from its junction with Eagle Drive to its junction with Honeywood Parkway. RICHMOND WAY – From its junction with Archers Court Road for a distance of 15 meters in a southeasterly direction. Banned Right and Left hand turn from Archers Court Road into Richmond Way except Local Buses.

NAPCHESTER ROAD - Has been replotted onto the system for administrative purposes only.

The Order was made on 28 November 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 29 November 2024.

A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the made Order may be examined at Kroner House, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, Kent TN24 8XU by appointment booked through tro@kent.gov.uk or viewed online from 29 November 2024 at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER) (SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022
(AMENDMENT No.10) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order.

The effect of the order would be to remove existing 40MPH and change it to a speed limit of 30MPH on the following length of road in Whitfield, Dover:-

SANDWICH ROAD – From a point 20 metres north of its junction with Napchester Road to the northern boundary of the property called North-End.

The Order was made on 28 November 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 29 November 2024.

(VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER DISTRICT) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT No.119) ORDER 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order will be to introduce new or to extend or amend existing waiting restrictions in the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL means waiting to be prohibited at all times by double yellow lines).

Roads in Dover in the District of Dover

MARJAN CLOSE – DYL – On both sides of its junction with St Radigunds Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. OLD FOLKESTONE ROAD, AYCLIFF – On both sides place a bus stop clearway in the laybys opposite 40/44 Kings Ropewalk. ST DAVIDS AVENUE, AYCLIFF – DYL – (1) On the south east side between points 11 metres southwest and 10 metres northeast from its junction with St Patricks Road. (2) On the south east side place a bus stop clearway from a point 11 metres southwest of its junction with St Patricks Road for a distance of 28 metres in a south westerly direction. (3) On the south east side place a bus stop clearway from a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with St Giles Road for a distance of 19 metres. (4) On the east side place a bus stop clearway in the layby opposite 190/192 St Davids Avenue. ST PATRICKS ROAD, AYCLIFF – DYL – On both sides of its junction with St Davids Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a southeasterly direction. ST RADIGUNDS ROAD – DYL – (1) On north side from a point in line with the boundary of 64/66 St Radigunds Road for a distance of 44 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On the north side between points 10 metres east and 22 metres west of its junction with Marjan Close. (3) On the southeast side from the junction with Beaufoy Road extend the existing lines for a distance of 17.3 metres in a south westerly direction to join up with the existing school keep clear markings.
