(Worth: Rofant) (Wallage Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Wallage Lane in the parish of Worth, from a point 175m west of the Worth Way railway bridge, eastwards for 270m.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while highway drainage improvement works are carried out.

The Order will come into effect on 9 December 2024 and remain in force until 17 December 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Haywards Heath: Borde Hill Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Borde Hill Lane in Haywards Heath from its junction with Copyhold Lane northwards to the access to Naldred Farm.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while highway drainage works are carried out.

The Order extends the operation of a previously issued closure notice and will come into effect on 10 October 2023 and remain in force until 16 October 2023. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(East Grinstead: Turners Hill Road (B2110))

(Restricted Road and Consolidation) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed 30 MPH speed limit on Turners Hill Road (B2110) in East Grinstead, from its junction with Hurst Farm Road, southwestwards for 280m.

The Order also re-enacts the 40 MPH speed limit from the end of the new 30 MPH Speed Limit, southwestwards to the existing terminal point 175m southwest of Imberhorne Lane.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 25 November 2024, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 21 November 2024, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Ashurst Wood: Various Roads) (20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce 20 MPH Speed limits on the following roads in Ashurst Wood throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated:

Allen Close, Beeches Lane from Woods Hill Lane northwards for 30m, Chapel Lane, Hammerwood Road from Lewes Road to 20m west of Yewhurst Close, Ivy Dene Lane from Woods Hill Lane northwards for 110m, Maypole Road from Hammerwood Road to the East Sussex County boundary, Park Lane, Phoenix Lane, School Lane, Wall Hill Road from Hammerwood Road southwards for 195m, Woods Hill Close, Woods Hill Lane, Wray Close and Yewhurst Close. Full details of the proposals in this notice can be viewed on the Traffic Regulation Order page of the WSCC website. The website includes a response form for any comments or objections. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

(40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 40 MPH speed limit on High Beeches Lane/High Street, from its junction with London Road (B2114) at Handcross, north-eastwards to its junction with the B2036.
