What is happening?

LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

(King Lane, Moortown, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)  Order  2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure for gas mains replacement. Leeds City Council has made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along King Lane, Moortown, Leeds in the Moortown Ward between its junctions with Scott Hall Road and Garth Walk – this is a one way closure in a north west direction. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Scott Hall Road, Street Lane, Stonegate Road, King Lane. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Friday 29th November 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Thursday 12th December 2024. The closure will be in place between 00:00 and 23:59 hrs on each day. K Krawczyk. Ref: RC310284

(Victoria Street, Allerton Bywater, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway for Road closure for gas mains replacement Leeds City Council has made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Victoria Street, Allerton Bywater, Leeds in the Kippax & Methley Ward between its junctions with Victoria Street and Main Street. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Victoria Street, Station Road, Main Street and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 25th November 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 6th December 2024. The closure will be in place 24 hrs on each day. G Pugh. Ref: RC304137

(Definitive Footpath Leeds 124) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024.

The Council of the City of Leeds intends in no less than seven days to make the following Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: the LEEDS CITY COUNCIL (DEFINITIVE FOOTPATH LEEDS 124) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2024. The Order will close to pedestrians Definitive Footpath Leeds 124 – comprising the length of the footpath that crosses over the railway bridge (located south of Nanny Goat Lane) and lengths of the footpath on either side of the bridge, totaling an approximate length of 75 metres. The diversion routes for pedestrians will be (i) via routes on the north east/east/south east side of the closure – Definitive Bridleway Leeds 123, Definitive Bridleway Barwick 10, Definitive Bridleway Austhorpe 9, Definitive Bridleway Austhorpe 12 and Definitive Bridleway Leeds 125; and (ii) via routes on the north west/west/south west side of the closure – Definitive Bridleway 125, Definitive Footpath Austhorpe 6, William Parkin Way and Manston Lane. The Order is necessary to enable works to be undertaken on or near the footpath in connection with a survey of the Bridge and de-vegetation around it. The Order will come into operation on 9 December 2024. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 December 2024, at which time the Order will cease to have effect (the Order may however continue in effect, such as may be required by the progress of the works, to 9 June 2025). (Definitive Bridleway Leeds 83)  (Temporary Closure) Order  2024

The Council of the City of Leeds has made the LEEDS CITY COUNCIL (DEFINITIVE BRIDLEWAY LEEDS 83) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to close to equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians Definitive Bridleway Leeds 83 – from its junction at Meanwood Road/Walkers Yard in a generally westerly direction to a point adjacent to the rear of 98A Grove Lane. The diversion route for pedestrians will be via Meanwood Road/Footpath 88/Footpath 87/Footpath 84 / Grove Lane, and vice versa. The diversion route for equestrians and cyclists will be via Walkers Yard/Meanwood Road/Grove Lane/Walkers Road and vice versa. The closure is necessary to enable gas main replacement works to be undertaken. The Order is due to come into operation on 28 November 2024 and it is anticipated that the closure will continue in effect until 13 December 2024, or until such time as the works to which this Order relates are complete, which in any event will be no later than 28 May 2025. (Traffic Regulation) (Waiting Restriction) (No.4) Order 2024

Railway Street & Saxton Gardens, Richmond Hill Leeds –  Traffic Management Proposals

Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; the effect of which will be to introduce the following traffic management measures within the Burmantofts & Richmond Hill Ward. 1. No Waiting at any Time on: a. Railway St (north side) from 64.5m west of East Field St, westerly up to and across its termination. b. Railway St (south side); from 10.5m west of Flax Pl, easterly to its merger with East Field St. c. Railway St (west side); from 31.5m west of Flax Pl, westerly up to its termination (inclusive of the southern turning head). d. Saxton Lane (north side); from 61m west of Flax Pl, westerly to its Marsh La. e. Saxton La (north side); from Flax Pl, westerly for 37m. 2. An On-Street Parking Place for the purpose of Loading and Unloading Goods on Railway St (south side); from 10.5m west of Flax Pl, westerly for 21m. 3. An On Street Parking Place for Car Club Vehicles on Saxton La (north side); from 37m west of Flax Pl, for 12m. 4. Time Limited Parking (All Days & Hours – 10 Minutes; No Return Within 1 Hour) on Saxton La (north side); from 49m west of i Flax Pl, westerly for 12m. Pudsey Ward Order – Amendment No.1 Order 2024 – Traffic Management Proposals

Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; the effect of which will be to introduce the following traffic management measures within the Pudsey Ward.

  1. No Waiting at any Time on sections of: Amblers Crt; Bankhouse La; Brick Mill Rd; Broadlands Ave; Carlisle Rd; Fartown; Greenside; Hazelhurst Crt; Kent Rd; Littlemoor Rd; Lowtown; Marsh; Mount Pleasant Rd; Northwood; Owlcotes Rd &Terr; Park Spring Rise; Ravens Mount; Richardshaw Ln; Robin Ln; Roker Ln; School St; Smalewell Cl & Rd; Sunnyridge Ave; Swinnow Rd; Tyersal Ct/Dr/Rd/Walk; Uppermoor; Waterloo Rd; Wellington Grv and; Wellstone Ave/Dr/Gard/Rise/Rd.
  2. No Waiting Between 8.00am and 6.00pm (Mon to Sat) on sections of Richardshaw La (both sides) and Stanningley Bypass (NE side).
  3. No Stopping on School Entrance Markings (Mon to Fri; 8.00am - 10.00am & 2.00pm - 4.00pm) on a section of Littlemoor Rd (west side).
  4. Time Limited Parking Mon to Sat; 8.00am - 6.00 pm) (3 Hrs – No Return Within 2 Hrs) on sections of Chapeltown (both sides).
  5. Time Limited Parking (Mon to Sat; 8.00am - 6.00 pm) (2 Hrs – No Return Within 2 Hrs) on sections of Lowtown (both sides).
  6. Time Limited Parking (All Days & Hours) (1 Hr – No Return Within 1 Hr) on a section of Waterloo Rd (SW side).

Section 90c Highways Act 1980

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures – Amberton Road, Gipton, Leeds 8

Leeds City Council proposes to implement the above highway improvements and is required under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, to place at appropriate points on the highway concerned a Notice of its proposals. The proposals include the provision of 11 sets of Road Humps at varilus points on Amberton Road, Gipton, Leeds 8 each of them being approximately 3.7m long and laid up to 75mm above the carriageway.
