What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Victoria Square, Huntingdon

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1631

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Victoria Square, Huntingdon as lies between numbers 2 and 5.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Victoria Square - Temple Place -Temple Close - Euston Street and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 December and 5 December 2024.

Earith Road (B1050), Colne

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1635

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Earith Road (B1050), Colne as lies between MAS Nurseries and East Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1050 - B1086 - B1040 - A1123 - B1050 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water supply relay and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 December and 5 December 2024.

Church Lane, Winwick

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1639

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Lane, Winwick as lies between the B660 and Hamerton Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B660 - Hamerton Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage cleaning and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 9 December 2024.

Raveley Road, Woodwalton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1644

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Raveley Road, Woodwalton as lies between Lodge Farm and Hill Farm.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Bridge Street - B1090 - Ramsey Road, Kings Ripton - Wistow Road - Wistow Road, Broughton - Little Raveley Road - Broughton Road, Little Raveley - Upwood Road - Upwood Road, Great Raveley - Raveley Road, Great Raveley - Raveley Road, Woodwalton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 5 December 2024.

High Street and Ailwine Road, Upwood

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1646

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street and Ailwine Road, Upwood as lies between Church Lane and Meadow Lane; Huntingdon Road and High Street respectively.

The alternative route for vehicles is via High Street - Ramsey Road -Huntingdon Road - Meadow Road and vice versa or via Ailwine Road -Huntingdon Road - High Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 December and 4 December 2024.

Barham Road, Spaldwick and Spaldwick Road, Barham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1647

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Barham Road, Spaldwick and Spaldwick Road, Barham as lies between Spaldwick Footpath 15 and Humberstone House.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A14 - Woolley Hill, Ellington -Ellington Road, Woolley - Barham Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate white lining and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs 30 December and 04:00hrs 31 December 2024.

Leighton Road, Hamerton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1649

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Leighton Road, Hamerton as lies between Gidding Road and Winwick Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Winwick Road - Hamerton Road, Winwick - B660 - Mill Road, Great Gidding - Church Lane - Mill Lane, Steeple Gidding - Hamerton Road - Gidding Road, Hamerton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs and 16:00hrs 12 December 2024.

Little Ravely Road, Broughton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1650

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Little Ravely Road, Broughton as lies between Windy Ridge and Wistow Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Wistow Road - Wistow Road, Kings Ripton - Ramsey Road - B1090 - A141 - Bridge Road, Broughton - Bridge Road (C111) - School Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 9 December to 12 December 2024.

Stone Hill, St Neots

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1651

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Stone Hill, St Neots as lies between numbers 80 and 110.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Fox Brook - Stone Hill - Whiston Way - Alsop Way - and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 December 2024 and 1 March 2025 (Various times).

Bridge Road, Broughton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1666

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bridge Road, Broughton as lies between Ashley Lodge and Lych Gate Cottage. The alternative route for vehicles is via School Road - Wistow Road -Wistow Road, Kings Ripton - Ramsey Road - B1090 - A141 - Bridge Road, Broughton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main laying and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 December and 20 December 2024.

Hammond Way, Somersham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1670

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hammond Way, Somersham as lies between Church Street and Whiston Close.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Street - B1086 - Cranfield Place and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 December and 6 December 2024.

Toll Bar Way, Sawtry

(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-1672

Is to impose a 40mph speed limit along Toll Bar Way, Sawtry as lies between Green End Road and St Judiths Lane.

The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate development and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 December 2024 and 31 August 2025.

Infield Road (B660), Glatton and Winwick Road, Great Gidding

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1680

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Infield Road (B660), Glatton and Winwick Road, Great Gidding as lies between Sawtry Road, Glatton and Bullock Road, Sawtry and Luddington Road, Great Gidding and Great Gidding Road, Winwick respectively.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B660 - B1043 - A15 - A1139 -A605 - B662 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway surface dressing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 01 June 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out on 01 December 2024 and 31 January 2026.

Footpath from Coxons Close to Bevan Close, Huntingdon

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1747

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath from Coxons Close to Bevan Close, Huntingdon as lies between Coxons Close and Bevan Close.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 June 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 December and 4 December 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)

ACT 1991 VARIOUS FOOTPATHS, WEST DIVISION (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1676

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along various footpaths as set out in Schedule 1 below.

Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate A428 improvement scheme and associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 December 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 31 May 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
