(Mainholm Road, Ayr - Whitletts) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2024

On 14th November 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Resurfacing Works.

Road Closure – Mainholm Road, Ayr
Phase 1: Mainholm road from its junction with Dalmilling Road to number 49 Mainholm Road.

Phase 2: Mainholm road from its junction with Dalmilling Crescent to number 61 Mainholm Road.

No Waiting At Any Time – Mainholm Road, Ayr
Phase 1: Mainholm road from its junction with Dalmilling Road to number 49 Mainholm Road.

Phase 2: Mainholm road from its junction with Dalmilling Crescent to number 61 Mainholm Road. 

The Order commences on 09 December 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 09 December 2024 at 08:00 until 23 December 2024 at 17:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for Emergency sevices will not be affected.

Access for residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route for Phase1 - Mainholm Road - Westwood Avenue - Thornyflat Road - Whitletts Road - Mainholm Road, Phase 2 - Mainholm Road - Hay Hill - Craigie Way - Craigie Road - Whitletts Road - Mainholm Road.

(B7045, Minishant) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024

On 14 November 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to facilitate Carriageway Resurfacing and associated Road Markings

Temporary Road Closure – B7045, Minishant, For Approx. 1250metres, from A77 (TR) at Hogg’s Corner to a point 100m South of Burnmouth Farm B7045.

The Order commences on 09 December 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 09 December 2024 at 08:00 until 22 December 2024 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via A77 (T) southwards to the Maybole By Pass Roundabout, continue via B77 to Maybole, then onto B7023 Crosshill Road to the B741 junction and proceed on the B741 towards Straiton to rejoin the B7045, and vice versa for the return route.
