What is happening?

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BRIDGE STREET, CHURCH STREET, HIGH STREET AND MARKET PLACE, GARSTANG, WYRE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LIMITED WAITING PARKING PLACE) ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council proposed to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. Following consultation carried out between 13 December 2023 and 10 January 2024, it is now intended to modify the proposed Order as titled above, as set out below.
1) Remove the following:
a) Item c) from Schedule 2. Prohibition of Waiting;
b) Whole of Article 4. Restriction of Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm
c) Whole of Schedule 3. Restriction of Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm.
2) Insert into Schedule 2 Prohibition of Waiting the following:
a) High Street, Garstang, the west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Croston Road to its centreline junction with Market Place.
b) Market Place, Garstang, the northwest side, from its centreline junction with High Street to its centreline junction with Church Street.
c) Church Street, Garstang, the north west side, from its centreline junction with Market Place for a distance of 13 metres in a south westerly direction.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Wyre Borough Council, Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx. Any representations or objections (specifying the grounds on which they are made) relating to the proposal must be made in writing and should be sent to The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, P O Box 100, County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD or by e-mail to tro-consultation@lancashire.gov.uk quoting ref:LSG4\894. 17726\AFR before the 11 December 2024.
