Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Bridleway 12 (Part), Bulkington; from its junction with Footpath 9, Bulkington to its junction with Footpath 10, Bulkington to enable resurfacing of Bridleway. Alternative route via Footpath 10, Bulkington – Footpath 9, Bulkington and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 December 2024, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 28 February 2025. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: B) Bridleway 43 (Part), Dilton Marsh; for approximately 25m either side of the railway bridge to enable bridge inspection and survey for essential repairs to network rail bridge. Alternative route for pedestrians Bridleway 43, Dilton Marsh (unaffected length) – Footpath 16, Dilton Marsh – Footpath 23, Westbury – Footpath 17, Westbury – Bridleway 17, Westbury – Bridleway 43, Dilton Marsh (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route for vehicles and cyclists via Bridleway 43, Dilton Marsh (unaffected length) – Fairwood Road – Tanyard Way – A3098 – Mane Way – Penleigh Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 November 2024, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for 2 days. Orders A) and B) will have a maximum duration of 06 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: C) C230 (Part), Winsley; from its entrance to the property known as Turleigh Manor for approximately 100m in a south easterly direction to enable Alpha Rod to carry out new foul water connection and associated works. Alternative route via C230 (unaffected length) – A363 – B3108 – C391 – C230 (unaffected length) and vice versa. D) C157 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Lacock Road approximately 220m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out new pole placement works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 13 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Alternative route via Lamberts Marsh (unaffected length) – Wesley Lane – A361 and vice versa. G) High Street (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Post Office Lane to its junction with Church Street to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out new gas service laying works and other associated works. H) B3098 (Part), West Lavington and Market Lavington; from a point approximately 50m east of its junction with Holloway Rise for approximately 70m in an easterly direction to enable D.R Groundworks to carry out night closures to plane off and resurface existing carriageway following new traffic light crossing and a new development. Alternative route via B3098 (unaffected length) – C20 – A360 – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 November 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 01:00 for 4 nights. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) B3106 (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with River Way to its junction with Wicker Hill.

B) B3106 Northbound Carriageway (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Station Approach to its junction with Hill Street. And to temporarily suspend the existing One Way Order on the following length of roads to facilitate a diversion for traffic:

C) Broad Street, Trowbridge; from its junction with B3106 Conigre to its junction with B3106 Hill Street.

D) B3106 (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Broad Street to its junction with River Way to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3106 (unaffected length) – Union Street – The Halve – A361 – A363.

It is anticipated that the work will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.
