What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
Bobbing Hill, Bobbing, ME9 8NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bobbing Hill, Bobbing, from 9th December 2024, with estimated completion by 13th December 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 27, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cold Harbour Lane, Rook Lane, Hill Farm View, A2 Keycol Hill, Key Street Roundabout and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Crockham Road, Hernhill. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow carriageway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Crockham Road, Hernhill, from 25th November 2024, with estimated completion by 25th May 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Crockham Lane and Butlers Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crockham Lane, Church Lane and Butlers Hill.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
East Street, Sittingbourne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
For the safety of the public and workforce, a one-way system has been created to allow installation works to be carried out. Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Sittingbourne from 25th November 2024, with estimated completion by 2nd December 2024, or until the works have been completed.
Traffic on East Street will be temporarily prohibited from travelling east between the junctions with West Lane and South Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles travelling east is via East Street, Crown Quay Lane and A2 St Michaels Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Elm Lane, Minster-On-Sea. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Elm Lane, Minster-on-sea, from 25th November 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Chequers Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2008 Chequers Road, High Street, Back Lane, Scocles Road, Elm Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sandford Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 1QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandford Road, Sittingbourne, from 25th November 2024, with estimated completion by 29th November 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Gibbons Road and A2 London Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandford Road, Gadby Road, Staplehurst Road, A2 London Road, Sandford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Scoggers Hill, Boughton Under Blean. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow pole testing and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Scoggers Hill, Boughton Under Blean, from 28th November 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Rhode Common, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Street (Hickmans Green), Jezzards Lane, Rhode Common and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sheppey Way, Bobbing, ME9 8RZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow surfacing repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sheppey Way, Bobbing, from 25th November 2024, with estimated completion by 28th November 2024, between the hours of 20:00 and 04:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Bobbing Roundabout and A2 Keystreet Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic travelling north is via A2 Key Street Roundabout, Key Street, London Road, St Michaels Road, B2006 Crown Quay Lane, Eurolink Way, Mill Way, King Street, St Pauls Street, Staplehurst Road, Bobbing Roundabout and Sheppey Way.
The alternative route for any through traffic travelling south is via Bobbing Roundabout, B2006 Staplehurst Road, St Pauls Street, King Street, Mill Way, Eurolink Way, Crown Quay Lane, A2 St Michaels Road, Dover Street, West Street, London Road, Key Street and Key Street Roundabout.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Staple Street, Hernhill, ME13 9HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Staple Street, Hernhill, from 25th November 2024, with estimated completion by 24th December 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Church Hill and Staplestreet Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Staple Street, A299 Thanet Way, A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 Boughton-By-Pass, Canterbury Road, Stockers Hill, The Street, Staplestreet Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
