Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend. (SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow hydrant works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, on or after 9th December 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane on Wrotham Road will be suspended from the Shell Petrol Station to the A227 Wrotham Road Roundabout. Cyclists will be required to dismount to pass the affected location.

 

Aintree Close, Gravesend, DA12 5AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Aintree Close, Gravesend, on or after 9th December 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the side of 52 Ascot Road.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Belvedere Close, Gravesend, DA12 1LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Belvedere Close, Gravesend, on or after 9th December 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Hermitage Road, Higham, ME3 7NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow Southern Water to undertake a stoptap replacement, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hermitage Road, Higham, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rosemary.

The alternative route is via Hermitage Road, Lower Rochester Road, Chequers Street, School Lane and vice versa.

 

Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, DA12 3LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, on or after 9th December 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite 4 Ridgeway Bungalows.

The alternative route is via The Ridgeway, Brewers Road,  Darnley Lodge Lane, Thong Lane, A226 Rochester Road/Gravesend Road and vice versa.

 

Whitehill Road, Gravesend, DA12 1LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of telecom works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitehill Road, Gravesend, on or after 9th December 2024 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 14.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 5.

The alternative route is via Whitehill Road, Sun Lane and vice versa.
