What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.13) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 27th November 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Various Roads, District of Epping Forest & Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) & (Sewardstone Road/Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) (No.22) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the District of Epping Forest & Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction in that length of Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping from its junction with Ninefields to its junction with Farm Hill Road a distance of approximately 710m as cited in “Epping Forest District (Sewardstone Road, Farm Hill Road, Honey Lane and Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2002”.

3. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction in that length of Sewardstone Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping from its junction with Farm Hill Road to its junction with Sun Street a distance of approximately 60m as cited in “Epping Forest District (Sewardstone Road, Farm Hill Road, Honey Lane and Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2002”.

4. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Firsgrove Road & Fisgrove Crescent, Warley in the Borough of Brentwood, from the junction with Milton Road for a distance of approximately 260m in a south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd December 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2362168 & EP201EH2365861 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order came into effect on 13th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(New Road, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Road, Ingatestone in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 125m north west of its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd December 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30054961320 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

The Order came into effect on 13th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mountnessing Road, Mountnessing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mountnessing Road, Mountnessing in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Old Church Lane to its junction with Buckwyns Chase a distance of approximately 580m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th November 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30007363671 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Mountnessing Road, Padhams Green Road, Church Road, Marsh Lane, Old Church Road, Old Church Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 25th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Orchard Lane, Pilgrims Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Orchard Lane, Pilgrims Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Ongar Road to its junction with Crow Green Lane a distance of approximately 335m.

2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/clearway is scheduled to commence on 1st December 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377140 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/clearway is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway surfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Ongar Road, Crow Green Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 20th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
