TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 (NORWICH)
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984
Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
ST LEONARDS ROAD - from 20m north of its junction with Gas Hill for 40m northwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 25th to 29th November 2024 (may continue until 10th January 2025). Alternative route is via: St Leonards Road, Quebec Road, Ketts Hill, Bishop Bridge Road, Rosary Road, St Leonards Road and vice versa.
SOUTH PARK AVENUE - 1) South Park Avenue from its junction with Bluebell Road for 80m eastwards and 2) Ramsey Close Footpath from its junction with South Park Avenue for 15m south eastwards to facilitate gas main replacement works from 25th November to 6th December 2024 (may continue until 6th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Road - Bluebell Road, North Park Avenue, Colman Road, South Park Avenue and vice versa. Footpath - South Park Avenue, Custnace Court, Peckover Road, Ramsey Close and vice versa.
(ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
GERTRUDE ROAD - from its junction with Sprowston Road for 32m eastwards to facilitate hydrant repair works from 18th to 20th November 2024 (may continue until 1st January 2025). Alternative route is via: Gertrude Road, Lavengro Road, Mousehold Avenue, Silver Road, Sprowston Road.
JUNCTION ROAD - from its junction with Aylsham Road for 40m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council manhole cover repairs between 7:30 and 17:00 on 19th November 2024 (may continue until 31st December 2024). Alternative route is via: Aylsham Road, Half Mile Road, Mile Cross Road, Drayton Road, Junction Road.
SURREY STREET - from its junction with Surrey Grove for 30m eastwards to facilitate construction works with a crane on rooftop. The road will be temporarily closed and traffic over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load and/or unload between 21:00 on the 22nd November and 05:00 on the 23rd November 2024 (may continue until 4th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Surrey Street, Queens Road, St Stephens Roundabout, Chapel Field Road, All Saints Green and vice versa.
WATERLOO ROAD - 1) Waterloo Road from its junction with Angel Road to its junction with Albany Road; 2) Patteson Road (westbound) from its junction with Aylsham Road to its junction with Angel Road; 3) Patteson Road (southbound) from its junction with Aylsham Road to its junction with Angel Road; and 4) Angel Road from its junction with Patteson Road to its junction with Eade Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council reconfiguration works on junction. The roads 1) and 2) will be temporarily closed and the roads 3) and 4) will be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 18th November 2024 to 16th March 2025 (may continue until the 17th May 2026). Alternative route is via: 1) Waterloo Road, Magpie Road, Magalen Road, Esdelle Street, Edward Street, St Augustines Street and 2) Aylsham Road and Waterloo Road. Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/ footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath.
Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/ restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway or 6 months for non-vehicular highway. Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
