TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
FLINT
The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 15 November 2024 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Lon Groes, between its junctions with Maes-Y-Coed and Maes Afon, Flint in the County of Flintshire.
The reason for the closure is to carry out gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.
It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 2 December 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 38 IN THE COMMUNITY OF BUCKLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2022
The above Order came into force on 9 December 2022 for a period of 6 months, until and including 9 June 2023, the order has since been extended with the approval of the Welsh Government until and including 8 December 2024.
Notice is now hereby given that the said Order made by Flintshire County Council on 8 December 2022 is extended with the approval of the Welsh Government and will continue in force until and including 8 June 2025, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
The effect of the Order is that no person shall proceed in using that section of Public Footpath No.38 in the Community of Buckley from a point at NGR 329568 363512 for an approximate distance of 45 metres across the Wrexham to Bidston Railway Line to a point at NGR 325681 363474.
The reason for the extension of this closure is due to the likelihood of increased danger to members of the public using this route due to additional timetable services. The closure is on the grounds of safety whilst measures to permanently address the risks are resolved and instructed on site by Network Rail.
The pedestrian route available is an already existing level crossing approximately 100 metres south of the footpath closure.

PROPOSED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING ON THE A5026 HOLYWELL
NOTICE is hereby given that Flintshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes:
a) The installation of a Puffin Pedestrian Crossing at the location as described in the Schedule to this Notice.
Reason for Proposal:
Flintshire County Council has identified the A5026 Holywell, as a location suitable for a Puffin crossing facility. Flintshire County Council have been successful in obtaining funding to implement a crossing facility which will aid sustainable journeys to school. The facility will assist with safety concerns relating to access to the school as well as benefiting the wider community.
The usual prohibition of vehicles stopping, waiting, loading, and unloading on the carriageway within the areas marked by Zig Zag lines on either side of the crossing will apply.

NOTICE is hereby given that Flintshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes:
a) The installation of a Puffin Pedestrian Crossing at the location as described in the Schedule to this Notice.
Reason for Proposal:
Flintshire County Council has identified Pen-Y-Maes Road, Holywell, as a location suitable for a Puffin crossing facility. Flintshire County Council have been successful in obtaining funding to implement a permanent crossing facility at the location in which the school crossing patrol currently operates, which will aid sustainable journeys to school. The facility will benefit not only children traveling to and from school during regular start and finish times but also those attending morning or after school clubs when there is no patrol on duty or during absences. Additionally, it will serve the wider community by providing a safe crossing point outside of school hours.
The usual prohibition of vehicles stopping, waiting, loading, and unloading on the carriageway within the areas marked by Zig Zag lines on either side of the crossing will apply.

A5119, Mold (To Sychdyn): from its junction with the A5119 at the Rhyd Y Galed traffic signals, for a distance of 51 metres in a north easterly direction.
Raikes Lane, Mold:
From its junction with the A5119 King Street, to a point 76 metres south of its junction with the Theatre Clwyd Service Road, Mold.
The proposed Order, if made will revoke The Flintshire County Council (A5119 Rhyd Y Galed to King Street, Mold) (Restricted Road) (Revocation) Order 2015 in its entirety and be consolidated into The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023.
In all other respects the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.
