Thanet, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

 

A255 Nethercourt Hill & A255 High Street, Ramsgate, CT11 0JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 Nethercourt Hill & A255 High Street, Ramsgate, on or after 27th November 2024 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

The closures will be between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only.

A255 Nethercourt Hill will be closed from A255 Nethercourt Circus roundabout to the junction of A255 High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A255 High Street will be closed between the junctions of A255 Nethercourt Hill and B2014 Newington Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 Nethercourt Circus, A255 Canterbury Road East, A299 Canterbury Road East, A299 Hengist Way, A256 Canterbury Road West, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A25 Haine Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place, A255 Park Road, A255 High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Albert Terrace Mews, Margate, CT9 1DL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albert Terrace Mews, Margate, on or after 27th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marine Gardens, Albert Terrace and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Buckingham Road, Margate, CT9 5SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckingham Road, Margate, on or after 10th December 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Tivoli Road and Gladstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Tivoli Road, Beatrice Road, A254 Ramsgate Road and Buckingham Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Buckingham Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A254 Eaton Road and Tivoli Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dane Road & Grotto Hill, Margate, CT9 1SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dane Road & Grotto Hill, Margate, on or after 26th November 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

Dane Road will be closed at the junction of Grotto Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Victoria Road, Thanet Road, Park Road and vice versa.

Grotto Hill will be closed between the junctions of Grotto Gardens and Dane Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Grotto Hill, Bath Place, Bath Road and Dane Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Dane Road, Wilderness Hill, Northdown Road, Bath Road, Bath Place and Grotto Hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hall By The Sea Road, Margate, CT9 1DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hall By The Sea Road, Margate, on or after 9th December 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Livingstone Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2SJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Livingstone Road, Broadstairs, on or after 27th November 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of B2053 Albion Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2053 Albion Road, Church Street, Speke Road and Livingstone Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Livingstone Road, Victoria Road, Church Street and B2053 Albion Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Nash Court Gardens, Margate, CT9 4BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nash Court Gardens, Margate, on or after 13th December 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 149. The one-way Order will be suspended from number 149 to the junction of Salmestone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nash Court Gardens, B2052 College Road, Tivoli Road, Beatrice Road, A254 Ramsgate Road and Salmestone Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Park Place, Grosvenor Hill & High Street, Margate, CT9 1LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Place, Grosvenor Hill & High Street, Margate, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

Park Place will be closed outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order for Grosvenor Hill will be suspended between the junctions of High Street and Park Place to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order for High Street will be suspended between the junctions of Mill Lane and Grosvenor Hill to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Grosvenor Gardens, B2055 Churchfields, High Street, Grosvenor Hill, Park Place and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
