The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less then seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Calbourne Road, Newport, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 14 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for five shifts, between Monday 25 November 2024, and Friday 29 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Calbourne Road, Newport, from its junction with Betty Haunt Lane, and its junction with Elm Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Tree works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Bagwich Lane, Godshill, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 25 November 2024, and Wednesday 27 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bagwich Lane, Godshill, from its junction with Godshill Bridleway 21, and its junction with Godshill Bridleway 14. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Drainage CCTV survey works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 25 November 2024, and Tuesday 26 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Newport Road, Niton, from its junction with Niton and Whitwell Footpath 86, and its junction with Southford Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway works.

(Temporary Prohibition of Cyclists and Pedestrians) Order No 1 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 25 November 2024, and Wednesday 27 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Parkers Hill, Freshwater, From its junction with Longhalves Lane, and its junction with School Green Road. (Temporary Prohibition of Cyclists and Pedestrians) Order No 14 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for seven shifts between Thursday 28 November 2024, and Friday 06 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Cycle Track Sandown to Newport, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during cycleway trimming program works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 25 November 2024, and Wednesday 27 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Queens Road, Newport, from its junction with Freshwater Bridleway 22, and its junction with Clayton Road. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 27 November 2024, and Friday 29 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Golf Links Road, Lake, from its junction with Sandown and Shanklin Bridleway 46, and its junction with Station Approach. The Isle of Wight Council (Lower Road, Brading, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 18 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 27 November 2024, and Friday 29 November 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Road, Brading, from its junction with Upper Road, and its junction with Brading Footpath 51. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 22 November 2024 and Friday 27 December 2024 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 5 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable Carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 2100 hours on Thursday 21 November 2024 until 0500 hours on Friday 22 November 2024, or when the works has been completed, Lake Hill will be closed between its junctions with Brownlow Road and Denness Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Monkton Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 6 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours and 2200 hours on Saturday 16 November 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along St James Street between its junctions with High Street and Pyle Street. The closure is required for safety during Newport's Day of Christmas event. A further closure along Newport High Street between its junctions with St James Street and Coppins Bridge will occur between 1700 hours and 2230 hours to assist with safety during the Christmas lights switch on. The diversions will be signposted locally.
