What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(CHERVIL RISE AND INKERMAN STREET)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to
make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:

* Inkerman Street closed in both directions between its junctions with Wednesfield Road and Tremont Street.
It is anticipated that the closure will operate from 18 November 2024 until 9 December 2024. Vehicular Diversion Route: Wednesfield Road, Lincoln Street,
Tremont Street and vice versa or Wednesfield Road, Grove Street, Chervil Rise and vice versa.

* Chervil Rise closed in both directions between its junction with Long Ley to the side of properties 62-170.
It is anticipated that the closure will operate from 10 December 2024 until 10 January 2025. Vehicular Diversion Route: Inkerman Street, Wednesfield Road,
Grove Street and vice versa.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken between the dates stipulated above.

The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new heating main by CPC Civils Ltd under a Section 50
Licence.
