(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Upper Zoar Street closed in both directions at its junction with Merridale Street/Merridale Street
West. Vehicular Diversion Route: Mander Street, Retreat Street, Merridale Street and vice versa.
· Zoar Street closed in both directions at its junction with Merridale Street/Merridale Street West.
Clockwise Vehicular Diversion Route: Dale Street, Graiseley Street, Merridale Street and vice versa.
Anticlockwise Vehicular Diversion Route: Merridale Street, Graiseley Street, Russell Street
and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 18 November 2024 until 25 November 2024.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
