DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 242

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. K34) Order 20–

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. K35) Order 20–

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  1. The general effect of the Orders would be:

    a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 9 Croft Road, Croydon, No. 109 Grange Road, South Croydon, No. 3 Grangewell Gardens, South Norwood, No. 7 Livingstone Road, Thornton Heath, No. 19 Norbury Crescent, Norbury, 29 Selsdon Avenue, South Croydon, No. 309 Selsdon Road, South Croydon, and No. 41 Woodlands Grove, Coulsdon.

    b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Nottingham Avenue, Purley Outside No. 30 (replaces one space in a free parking bay)
Pollards Crescent, Norbury Outside Hermione, No. 7
Rockmount Road, Upper Norwood Outside No. 36
Thomson Crescent, Croydon Outside No. 24
Trefoil Road, South Croydon Outside No. 164

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

  • A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

  • Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design Section, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above) quoting the reference: PD/CH/ K34 & K35 by 05 December 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 14 (7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BORROWDALE DRIVE & GLEBE HYRST, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

2. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Borrowdale Drive and Glebe Hyrst.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Borrowdale Drive will be closed at its junction with Rectory Park.

b) Glebe Hyrst will be closed at its junction with Rectory Park.

3. Whilst the closures are in force, the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.

    • Borrowdale Drive - Access will be maintained but restricted.

      • Glebe Hyrst closure - Via Glebe Way, and B269 Rectory Park, or via Shaw Crescent, Court Hill, Westfield Avenue and Rectory Park.

4. The Order will come into operation on 14 November 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within approximately three weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle involved in the said works.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4 (7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 GEORGE STREET, PARK LANE AND WELLESLEY ROAD, CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate soil surveys, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in George Street, Park Lane and Wellesley Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

(a) George Street will be closed (eastbound) between its junction with Wellesley Road and East Croydon Station.

(b) Traffic lanes in Park Lane and Wellesley Road will be closed as necessary.

3. During the closure of George Street, the alternative route for traffic will be via George Street, Park Lane, Barclay Road and Addiscombe Grove.

4. The Order will come into operation on 16 November 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 KEMBLE ROAD, LIMES AVENUE & LYNWOOD GARDENS, CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water main replacement works on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Kemble Road, Limes Avenue and Lynwood Gardens, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said work is taking place the roads will be closed as detailed below, and parking will be suspended as necessary. One-way working in Limes Avenue, Lodge Avenue and Wandle Side will also be suspended.

    • Kemble Road – Closed for approximately two months between its junction with Vicarage Road and the eastern boundary of No. 1 Kemble Road.

    • Limes Avenue – Closed for approximately one month in two sections between its junctions with Purley Way and Wandle Side.

      • Lynwood Gardens – Closed for approximately three months in the three phases covering the entire length of the road.

3. During the closures, the alternative routes for residents will be maintained via the routes as detailed below.

    • Kemble Road – Via Vicarage Road, Siddons Road and vice versa.

    • Limes Avenue – Via Purley Way, Lodge Avenue, Wandle Side and vice versa.

      • Lynwood Gardens – No diversion as cul-de-sac.

4. The Order will come into operation on 14 November 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further work is required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 CLIFFORD ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY CLOSURE

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new water connection works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Clifford Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Clifford Road will be closed between its junctions with Carmichael Road and Portland Road.

3. During the closure traffic will be diverted via Portland Road, Doyle Road, and Clifford Road, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 02 December 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
