What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NOKE SIDE, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Noke Side, Bricket Wood from its junction with Long Fallow south westwards for its entire length ("the Road").

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible

throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OAKLANDS LANE, SMALLFORD) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Oaklands Lane, Smallford from its northernmost junction with the service road fronting Nos.54-80 Oaklands Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 10m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Oaklands Lane, A1057 Hatfield Road, Beechwood Avenue, Sandpit Lane and Oaklands Lane.

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUTTERFLY LANE, ELSTREE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Butterfly Lane, Elstree from a point in line with the western boundary of 'Slades Farm Bungalow' north eastwards to its junction with A5183 Watling Street, a distance of approximately 470m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Butterfly Lane, Aldenham Road, A411 Watford Road and A5183 (High Street/Elstree Hill North/ Watling Street).

The Order is needed because tree removal works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE RIDGEWAY, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Ridgeway, St Albans from its junction with Wycombe Way south westwards to its junction with The Quadrant, a distance of approximately 68m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via The Ridgeway, Hazelmere Road, Sherwood Avenue, Marshalswick Lane and The Ridgeway.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
