What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH LANE, PRESTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Preston from a point in line with the western boundary of 'Trinity House' north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 65m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Church Lane, Butchers Lane, Chequers Lane, School Lane and Church Lane or via Church Lane, School Lane, Crunnells Green, Back Lane and Church Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BURGE END LANE, PIRTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Burge End Lane, Pirton from its junction with Pirton Public Footpath No.012 north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Limes, Hitchin from its junction with Wratten Road West south westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.

However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pryor Road, Baldock from its junction with Ivel Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 70m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.

However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Walkern from its junction with B1037 Stevenage Road south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Benington Road, a distance of approximately 586m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1037 Stevenage Road, Gresley Way, A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross), High Street, Walkern Road and Benington Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BALDOCK, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY, WILLIAN, WESTON, HOLWELL, PRESTON AND HITCHIN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has been made and Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Willian Road, Baldock/Baldock Lane, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Weston Way south westwards to its junction with A505 Letchworth Gate, a distance of approximately 2086m.

An alternative route will be via Weston Way, B656 (Letchworth Road/ Baldock Road), A505 (Baldock Road/Hitchin Road/Cambridge Road), Willian Road, Baldock Lane and A505 Letchworth Gate.

2. that length of Baldock Lane/Willian Road, Willian from its junction with A505

Letchworth Gate south westwards for a distance of approximately 1163m. An alternative route will be via A505 Letchworth Gate, Baldock Lane, Weston Way, B656 (Letchworth Road/Baldock Road), A505 (Baldock Road/ Hitchin Road/Cambridge Road) and Willian Road.

3. that length of Lannock Hill, Weston from its junction with Hitchin Road north westwards, westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with B197 Jacks Hill, a distance of approximately 1853m. An alternative route will be via Hitchin Road, Fore Street, Hatch Lane, Chalk Hills, B197 London Road, A505 Baldock Bypass and B197 Jacks Hill.

4. that length of Waterloo Lane, Holwell from its junction with Pirton Road south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Holwell Road, a distance of approximately 321m.

An alternative route will be via Pirton Road, Holwell Road, A600 Bedford Road, A505 (Bedford Road/Paynes Park/Upper Tilehouse Street), B655 Pirton Road, Walnut Tree Road, Royal Oak Lane, West Lane and Holwell Road or via Holwell Road, West Lane, Royal Oak Lane, Walnut Tree Road, B655 Pirton Road, A505 (Upper Tilehouse Street/Old Park Road/Bedford Road), A600 Bedford Road, Holwell Road and Pirton Road.

5. that length of St Albans Highway, Preston from its junction with School Lane north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Little Almshoe Road, a distance of approximately 1150m.

An alternative route will be via School Lane, Hitchin Road, Preston Road, Thistley Lane and Hill Lane.

6. that length of Letchworth Lane, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Willian Road north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A505 Hitchin Road, a distance of approximately 1077m.

An alternative route will be via Willian Road and A505 (Cambridge Road/ Hitchin Road).

7. that length of Willian Road, Willian/Hitchin from its junction with Letchworth Lane south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A505 Cambridge Road, a distance of approximately 2309m.

An alternative route will be via Letchworth Lane and A505 (Hitchin Road/ Cambridge Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lanterns Lane, Aston from its junction with Gresley Way south eastwards to its junction with Long Lane, a distance of approximately 288m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, Broadwater Lane, Aston End Road and Long Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. the road leading to Nos.307-389 Ripon Road, Stevenage from its junction with Ripon Road north westwards, westwards and eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the road leading to Nos.2-94 Durham Road, Stevenage from its junction with Durham Road eastwards, northwards and southwards for its entire length.

4. the road situated on the south side of No.531 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with the road leading to Nos.457-531 Canterbury Way north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Pilgrims Way, a distance of approximately 51m.

An alternative route will be via Canterbury Way and Pilgrims Way.

5. that length of Church Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Walkern Road north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6. the road leading to Nos.159-179 Archer Road, Stevenage from its junction with Archer Road north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

7. the road situated on the south east side of No.189 Archer Road, Stevenage from its junction with Archer Road south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

8. the road leading to Nos.5-49 Archer Road, Stevenage from its junction with Archer Road north eastwards for its entire length.

12. that length of Boswell Gardens, Stevenage from its junction with Foster Close south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 261m.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A505 Nightingale Road, Hitchin from its junction with the A505 Cambridge Road/B656 Walsworth Road roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via B656 (Walsworth Road/Queen Street/Park Street/Hitchin Hill), A602 Park Way, A505 (Old Park Road/Bedford Road/ Fishponds Road/Bunyan Road) and A505 Nightingale Road or via A505 (Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road/Bedford Road/Paynes Park), A602 Park Way, B656 (Hitchin Hill/Park Street/Queen Street) and B656 Walsworth Road.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
