What is happening?

QUEENS DOCK AVENUE FOOTWAY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order on 15 November 2024.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along Queens Dock Avenue Footway adjacent with 47-49 Queens Dock Avenue, known as The Warren, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the erection of scaffolding to the front facade of the Warren.
The alternative route for pedestrians is via Saville Street and New Cross Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 18 November 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 5 days.
