What is happening?

WOMBWELL FOOTPATHS 1 AND 2 AND WORSBROUGH FOOTPATH 15
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
An order will be made to close a section of the Trans Pennine Trail (“TPT”) along Worsbrough bridleways 55, 56 (map 1), 57 (map 2) and Wombwell Bridleway 32 and routes linking to the TPT including Wombwell footpath 1 and 2 and Worsbrough footpath 15 (map 3). Unrecorded access points onto the TPT will also be closed.
The closure is due to commence on 25 November 2024 for a maximum duration of up to six months. Works are scheduled until 31 March 2025 and will be phased to minimise disruption.
Closures will be in place on weekdays between 7.30am and 4pm
Reason: TPT upgrade as part of the Active Travel route, including widening, new surfacing and access controls. See site notices and the TPT website for more details.
