What is happening?

(Temporary Road Closure)
Order 2024

The Council on 8/11/2024 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 22 metre length of Northdene Avenue, Seaham to the side of No.8 Dene House Road and side of No.2 Northdene Avenue to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic at the opposite end of Northdene Avenue. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works will commence on Monday 18/11/2024 and will be required daily between 8am and 4pm for the duration of the works anticipated to be 10 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
