A196 NEWBIGGIN ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NUMBER 5 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A196 Newbiggin Road Ashington for a length of 40 metres, 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th December 2024 until the 8th December 2024
It is expected that the road will only be closed from 23:30 hours on the 7th December 2024 until 07:00 hours on the 8th December 2024 .
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A196, A189, C415, C403, A1147, A196 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Traffic Management on behalf of Siemens to complete level crossing barrier works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
