Greenberfield Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NON DEFINITIVE ROUTE TO WHICH THE PUBLIC HAVE ACCESS, BARNOLDSWICK, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 15th November, 2024, remaining in force until the 15th May, 2025, or until the works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over that length of Non Definitive Route to which the Public have Access, Barnoldswick, Pendle, indicated below:-
A Non Definitive Route to which the Public have Access, Barnoldswick, Pendle Borough, from Greenberfield Lane at Point A (SD 8802 – 4789) in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 300 metres to FP1301007 Barnoldswick at Point B (SD 8823 – 4784).
The temporary closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the route.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the route, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the route, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
