NOTICE OF MODIFICATION
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HOLME STREET, NELSON, PENDLE AREA) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council proposed to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. Following consultation carried out between 01 November 2024 and 29 November 2024, it is now intended to modify the proposed Order as titled above, as set out below.

1) Revoke Schedule 9 of the "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Various Locations, Chorley, Fylde, Pendle, Preston, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire and Wyre) (Revocations, Amendment to Permit Parking Provisions, and Various Parking Restrictions, March 20 (NO1)) Order 2022"
2) Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Brook Street, Nelson, the north east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Netherfield Road for a distance of 29 metres in a south easterly direction;
b) Brook Street, Nelson, the south west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Netherfield Road for a distance of 37.5 metres in a south easterly direction;
c) Netherfield Road, Nelson, both sides, from its roundabout junction with Sagar Street in a north easterly direction, to a point 27 metres northeast of its junction with the Centreline of Brook Street.
3) Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Brook Street, Nelson, the north east side, from a point 44.5 metres south east of its junction with the Centreline of Netherfield Road to its junction with the Centreline of Chapel House Road;
b) Brook Street, Nelson, the south west side, from a point 51.5 metres south east of its junction with the Centreline of Netherfield Road for a distance of 149 metres in a south easterly direction.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx.
