TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF 490492 TRYES ROAD AND FOOTWAY (PARK WARD) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 490592 Tryes Road and Footway from its junction with Painswick Road to its junction with Shurdington Road for a distance of approximately 130 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for a safe working zone to accommodate work vehicles whilst works to the footway are completed.

The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 2nd December 2024 until 20th December 2024 only or until the works are completed. Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above-named order the effect of which will introduce the speed limits listed in the schedule below. (Please note that some of these speed limit extents are already existing and are being included as an administrative exercise as part of consolidating into a new speed limit order).
