What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(PANTOMIME, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITING BAY & TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily;
I. Prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along the south westerly side of Lance Corporal Joel Halliwell VC Way, from a point 54 metres south east of a point opposite the south easterly kerb line of Old Hall Street for a distance of 52 metres in a south easterly direction,
II. Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Middleton Township) Order 2008) (Amendment) (No.43) Order 2017

LCpl Joel Halliwell V.C. Way, North Middleton Ward
South westerly side from a point 54 metres south east of a point opposite the south easterly kerb line of Old Hall Street for a distance of 52 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate coach parking for attendees of the Middleton Arena Pantomime event.
The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours until 17.00 hours each day from the 26th November 2024 until 29th November 2024, from the 2nd December 2024 until 6th December 2024, from the 9th December 2024 until 13th December 2024 and from the 16th December 2024 until 19th December 2024.
(HEYWOOD CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL, HEYWOOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily:-
a) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
i) L/Cpl Stephen Shaw MC Way – for its entire length.
ii) Hind Hill Street – from its junction with Bow Lane to its junction with L/Cpl Stephen Shaw MC Way.
b) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along:-
i) Bethel Street – the east side, for its entire length.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Heywood Christmas Festival.
The part of this order relating to the prohibition of vehicles will be operative from 11:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 16th November 2024.
The part of this order relating to the prohibition of waiting at any time will be operative from 11:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 16th November 2024.
The alternative route for vehicles for the closure of L/Cpl Stephen Shaw MC Way will be via York Street, Hartley Street and vice versa.
The alternative route for vehicles for the closure of Hind Hill Street will be via Fox Street, Bethel Street, Moss Street, Bamford Road and Market Place.
