Moor Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Repair A Damaged Drainage Pipe

(Moor Road, Brinsley) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (Bx24-186a)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Brinsley in the Borough of Broxtowe. The effects of the Order will be :
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road :
a. Moor Road, Brinsley - From its junction with Church Lane to its junction with Brynsmoor Road.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows : From 00:01 hours on Monday 18th November 2024 Until 18:00 hours on Friday 22nd November 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Broad Lane - Broad Oak Drive - Ash Grove - Windsmoor Road - Hobsic Close - Moor Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Monday 18th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable VIA East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out works to repair a damaged drainage pipe which is causing flooding.
