TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 15/11/22 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 20 Kinver from a point approximately 180 metres south of its junction with
Gibbet Lane and continuing in a generally south – westerly direction for approximately 41 metres.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) to construct a temporary access road, for the extension of the current Severn Trent sewage works and of the likelihood of danger to the public using the footpath. A plan will be displayed on site to show the alternative route provided, the length of public footpath to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 18/11/22 and has been extended for a further period of six months, until 18/5/25 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.
