THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(OLLERTON AND BOUGHTON BRIDLEWAY NO.7) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council HAS MADE an ORDER, under Sections 14 and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:
To continue the effects of THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (OLLERTON AND BOUGHTON BRIDLEWAY NO.7) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) NOTICE 2024. That Notice came into force on 29th October 2024.
The effects are that:- No person shall: -
(a) cause any horse to proceed,
(b) cause any animal to proceed, in the following length of bridleway at Ollerton and Boughton in the District of Newark and Sherwood- Ollerton and Boughton Bridleway No.7 – over the bridge only
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route available for equestrians and animals.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above highway or highways will apply as follows: - To 28th April 2025 inclusive.
The Continuation Order will come into force on 19th November 2024 and any prohibition contained in the continued Order shall apply on that day and on any subsequent day or days when it shall be necessary for the prohibition to apply to enable works to be carried out and the Order shall continue in full force until the works it is proposed to carry out are completed The duration of this Order may be extended with the approval of the relevant Secretary of State.
The prohibition is required to protect safety due to an unsafe bridge.
