(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.4 To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
The Street – for 80 metres either side of the railway line.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C207 The Street – A27(T) Lewes Road – C340 Common Lane – C39 Station Road – C347 Lower Wick Street – C207 Langtye Lane, The Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 December 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 22:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 4 and 6 December 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

The East Sussex (B2193 Friars Walk/Lansdown Place,
Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2 To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Friars Walk/Lansdown Place – from the junction with U5145 Court Road to the junction with B2193 Station Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2193 Friars Walk – A277 High Street, Western Road – C7 Winterbourne Hollow, Bell Lane – B2193 Southover High Street, Priory Street, Station Road.
The Order commences 4 December 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 4 and 5 December 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A26 Uckfield Road & C402 Chillies Lane,
Crowborough) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:Temporary 30 mph Speed Limits Uckfield Road – from Malvern House to Furze Hill.
Chillies Lane – from the junction with A26 Uckfield Road to Poundgate Manor.
The Order commences 15 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place on 15 November 2024.

The Order commences 19 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 21:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 19 and 20 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL (LEWES DISTRICT)
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
THE EAST SUSSEX (PUBLIC FOOTPATH TELSCOMBE 18,
TELSCOMBE 19, TELSCOMBE 20) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above Order, made on 8 November 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding three public footpaths as follows: A route comprising a series of three public footpaths in the civil parish of Telscombe, with an arbitrary centreline route, as detailed below, and as shown on the Order Plan between points A – B; C – D – E – F; G – H.
The public footpath Telscombe 18 commences at the extent of public highway Ambleside Avenue at point A, at TQ 4019 0129.
From point A the public footpath continues in a generally westnorth-west direction over an existing metalled access way for 108 metres, to terminate at the extent of public highway Central Avenue, at point B, at TQ 4008 0132. The public footpath Telscombe 19 commences at the extent of public highway Central Avenue, at point C, at TQ 4007 0133, at the entrance to the car park of Dana Lodge residential unit.
The public footpath continues in a generally west-north-west direction along an existing metalled access way and car park for 44 metres to point D, at TQ 4003 0135.
At point D the public footpath turns south-south-west and continues for 16 metres passing between existing parking bays to point E, at TQ 4002 0133.
From point E, the public footpath turns west-north-west and continues for 65 metres along an existing unmade track to terminate at the extent of public highway Telscombe Cliffs Way, at point F, at TQ 3996 0135.
The public footpath Telscombe 20 commences at the extent of public highway Telscombe Cliffs Way, at point G, at TQ 3995 0135. From point G the public footpath continues in a generally westnorth-west direction over an existing track for 108 metres to terminate at the extent of public highway Fairlight Avenue, at point H, at TQ 3984 0138.
The width of the public footpaths will be 1.5 metres throughout. The total length of public footpath to be added is 341 metres.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the East Sussex County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
