What is happening?

READING BOROUGH COUNCIL

(NORTHBROOK ROAD)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

Reading Borough Council has made an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily close the length of footway crossing forming the access to 20-28 Northbrook Road. If made, the Order will come into force from 18-21 November 2024 from 08:00am and 14:30pm. Should the works take longer than expected the restriction will remain in force until the works are completed with a maximum order duration of 18 months. The Order is necessary to carry out repair works to the footway crossing.

(DOWNSHIRE SQUARE)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024

Reading Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily suspend all parking restrictions and temporary introduce no waiting no loading or unloading parking restriction on Downshire Square, in its full extent. If made, the Order will come into force from 25-29 November 2024. Should the works take longer than expected the restriction will remain in force until the works are completed with a maximum order duration of 18 months. The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety to carry out tree and highway maintenance works.
