What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(A)

TO JUNCTION 18 LINCOLN ROAD
INTERCHANGE, CITY OF PETERBOROUGH)
LINK ROADS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A47 Trunk Road in the City of Peterborough, to enable nearby third-party bridge inspections to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place over 1 night (10pm – 6am) starting on or after Friday 22 November 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A47 Soke Parkway eastbound and westbound link roads between J17 Bretton Way Interchange and J18 Lincoln Road Interchange.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted onto the A47 westbound at J17, continue to J16, then return eastbound to J19 then westbound to exit at J18, and westbound traffic will be diverted onto the A47 eastbound at J18, continue to J19, then return westbound to J16 then eastbound to exit at J17, and continue their journey.
The closures (which will not apply to works, emergency service, winter maintenance or traffic officer vehicles) and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into force on 18 November 2024 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of 18 months, whichever is the earlier.
