Silver Street - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
SILVER STREET (PART) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Silver Street from the junction with Lowgate and Market Place to the junction with Land of Green Ginger, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during installation, testing and removing of the Christmas Lights.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 17th November 2024 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 6am and 12pm on 17th November 2024 for the installation and testing of the lights, and from 6am to 12pm for one morning between 1st January 2025 to 31st January 2025 for the removal of the lights.
