Cumberland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE CUMBERLAND COUNCIL AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.6A) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated in the attached schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. U2098 Blindcrake - 2 December 2024 - Approx. duration 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/12710) From its junction with the C2033, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 70 m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2098, A595 and C2033.

2. U2777 Ellenborough Place, Maryport - 17 December 2024 - Approx. duration 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/12625)

From its junction with Main Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 20 m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Ellenborough Place, Hutton Place and Main Road.

3. B5296 Harrington Road, Workington - 5 January 2025 - Approx. duration 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/12914)

From its junction with Vulcan's Lane, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 100 m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Harrington Road, Washington Street, Jane Street and Vulcan's Lane.

4. C2001 Broughton Moor - 6 January 2025 - Approx. duration 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/12888)

From its junction with the entrance to New Hall Farm, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 190 m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2001, A594, C2037 and C2007.

5. U2822 North Quay, Maryport - 6 January 2025 - Approx. duration 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/12797)

From its junction with King Street to its junction with Strand Street. Alternative Route: via King Street, Wallace Lane and Strand Street.

6. Entrance to New Hall Farm (off C2001), Broughton Moor - 11 January 2025 - Approx. duration 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/12899)

From its junction with the C2001 near Dearham, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 120 m towards New Hall Farm.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
