A697 WELLHOPE TO NEWTOWN JUNCTION ALNWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A697 Wellhope To Newtown Junction Alnwick from its junction with the B6347 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 1050 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 25th November 2024 until the 13th December 2024
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 25th November 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 13th December 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6341,C90, A697 and vice-versa

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to refresh road markings to improve safety to the public. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
